Featuring the practical quick-set date function found on five-digit Datejust references, it combines vintage charm with everyday usability.
The highlight of this particular example is its remarkable tropical dial. Originally blue, decades of exposure to light, heat, and time have transformed the surface into a rich olive-green tone. The color shifts subtly depending on the viewing angle, creating a depth that cannot be replicated artificially.
Unlike earlier pie-pan dial Datejusts, the flat dial construction gives the watch a larger visual presence on the wrist, while the engine-turned bezel and Jubilee bracelet complete the classic vintage Rolex aesthetic.
The case remains in excellent condition, making this a particularly attractive example of a tropical Datejust.
