OMEGA De Ville Geometric Textured Dial 1980s

Produced in the 1980s by OMEGA, the De Ville line represented the brand's most refined interpretation of the dress watch — slim, quiet, and built around proportion rather than ornament. This example is distinguished by its finely textured champagne dial, a geometric grid that shifts with the light.

The gold-plated case measures 29.5mm excluding the crown and 35mm from lug to lug, with slender curved lugs that follow the wrist. Its profile is exceptionally thin and the polished bezel is left entirely plain, without unnecessary ornamentation. The restraint allows the dial to take center stage.

The champagne dial is covered in a minute pyramid grid that catches light in one direction and falls quiet in another. Applied double batons mark the quarters with small applied dots between them, and two slim baton hands sweep across an uninterrupted surface. The OMEGA logo and the De Ville signature sit in balance above and below the center.

Beneath the dial sits a slim quartz movement, the technology that allowed OMEGA to reduce the case to this thickness while holding an accuracy the mechanical watches of the era could not match. The two-hand layout carries that thinking through to the dial, where no seconds hand disturbs the texture.

Completing the watch is a dark brown grained leather strap with a gold-tone pin buckle, carefully matched to complement the case and preserve its classic aesthetic. Fitted to a 16mm lug width, it accommodates wrists up to 17cm and is not original to the watch.
