Produced in the late 1970s, this Constellation Chronometer Quartz represents Omega’s commitment to precision during a period of rapid technological change. While many manufacturers focused solely on accuracy, Omega preserved the refinement and identity that had defined the Constellation line for decades.
The silver dial features a finely textured surface that creates a subtle sparkle under changing light. Slim applied markers, minimalist hands, and a framed date window maintain a clean and highly legible layout.
Its most distinctive feature remains the observatory medallion engraved on the caseback. Depicting the Geneva Observatory beneath eight stars, it serves as a reminder of Omega’s long-standing achievements in precision timekeeping and observatory chronometer trials.
The restrained stainless steel case and monochromatic palette emphasize proportion over decoration, allowing the details of the dial and finishing to speak for themselves.
