This Rado Elegance from the 1970s reflects the brand’s pursuit of material innovation and modernist design during the quartz transition era.

The defining feature lies in its “Glass Top” construction—where the crystal extends beyond a simple protective role, becoming an integral visual element of the case. This creates a smooth, uninterrupted surface that blends dial and exterior into a single plane.

The dial itself is restrained: a warm champagne tone with fine brushing, paired with minimalist baton markers and slim hands. The printed “Elegance” script adds a subtle softness to an otherwise disciplined composition.
